A New Chapter Unfolds
As 2009 dawned, 4,000 people vied for the chance to become Ford Fiesta agents. Out of those 4,000 only 100 were selected to be the online faces of the Ford Fiesta movement. For the next six months, they were given European Ford Fiestas, gas and insurance coverage, and a goal: to get the buzz going about the 2011 North America Ford Fiesta.
During those six months, these agents had to complete a series of missions with their Ford Fiestas. Some kept the missions on a local level, others climbed the ranks of online daredevils (wrestling alligators and such), but all of them created an amazing catalogue of their time spent with their vehicles.
As you can see by some of our videos, the movement opened a lot of opportunities for the agents. In fact, Agent 67 Mark Kleis remarked, “Honestly – aside from the once-in-a-lifetime experience(s) that the Fiesta Movement provided, I think I will remember the people above all else. I can now say that I have friends stretching coast to coast, top to bottom.” It has also brought to light the amount of public support the Fiesta has in the U.S. market. Ford plans to harness this support to continue generating the buzz about the Fiesta. They are now looking to launch chapter 2 of the Ford Fiesta movement.
