Interview with Diablito

I had the privilege of interviewing one of our featured Fiesta agents, “Diablito” during the Ford Fiesta Movement celebration. Even though the name Diablito may seem a bit odd to you, Raul Martinez’s personality merits this nickname. His fame in Southern California has built over the years thanks to his radio presence. What’s more, he gained his Diablito nickname because of the promotional contests this very talented radio DJ implements to this day.
Since the start of the Ford Fiesta Movement, Diablito started his own online radio station: Radio Toxico. It is transmitted via his website www.diablitosworld.com.

What really interested me, was the man behind the name. I can honestly say Diablito is a real Latino soul. He really enjoyed partying in his Ford Fiesta (whether it was in Las Vegas or cruising the streets of L.A. at 2AM), but he did mention this movement could have been a lot bigger with the Hispanic community. Maybe Ford will take his advice and launch a new movement for Spanish speakers.
One of his remarks that I liked the most was his favorite memory of the movement. To complete one of the agent missions, his three-year-old daughter sent him a tweet so he could pick her up and take her to Toys-R-Us. To me, this example not only embodies the social media explosion this movement has spurred; it also reveals Diablito’s other side. He’s the agent who loves living life to the max, but doesn’t hesitate to include his family when he gets the chance.
