The Tesla Roadster has been praised numerous times as having “the most technically advanced power train in a production car today, with greater range and speed than any other electric car on the market”. It has also set a world record in October 2009 at Australia’s annual Global Green Challenge by driving the entire 313-segment on a single charge. What more needs to be said to prove that this all-electric sports car is a great investment?

Along with its sleek and sexy exterior, the lotus-look of the Tesla Roadster drives a range of 244 miles per charge (according to standard EPA testing). This model also accelerates 0-60 mph in 3.7-3.9 seconds. While maintaining its sporty reputation for being fast, limitations were made in order to enforce safety topping the Roadster’s speed at 125 mph.

The base purchase price to own one of these newly advanced, “green” friendly cars starts at $109,000. Although this sporty car is pretty pricey, you can just imagine how much you will save not having to pay for gas anymore. The Roadster can be recharged using any household outlet with a range of 120-220 voltage. The convenience of this recharging capability makes for another plus when considering to purchase such a vehicle.

This 2-seater also has a retractable top to show off the high-tech interior. It uses push buttons rather than the regular stick shift for selecting gears. Along with many more features, there is also a touch screen monitor in the middle of the dashboard displaying all the necessary information such as time, estimated range, number of barrels of oil saved, etc.
